Paleontological workshops for kindergartens and school children (1st-3rd graders)

Educational classes taking place in a paleontological tent are a great opportunity to explore the mysteries of the dawn of Earth, the emergence of the first creatures and evolutions, as well as to check the role of a paleontologist and to excavate park fossils. The theory conveyed during the course aims to bring the paleontologist’s work closer to the students. It is complemented by practical classes consisting of painting fossils imprinted in the plaster block. Participants of paleontologistic classes will obtain the Young Explorer’s certificate. In addition, each participant can also get a surprise.

  2. Secrets of fossils – what is a fossil and how it is made.
  3. What can be “remembered” by school chalk – what the life was like during the Cretaceous period.
  4. Not just big ones – facts about dinosaurs.
  5. Measure and weight – what a paleontologist deals with.

Paleontological workshops for school children (4th-8th graders)

During the workshops, the students learn about the idea of paleontology, fossils, they learn how the Earth has changed over time, what the work on excavations is about. The course instructor presents fossils, uses a board – a stratigraphic model and a paleontologist’s chest, in which stored are the treasures that outlasted to our times after the dinosaurs. Students can name or describe organisms that became extinct and indicate those that have survived to this day. The classes shapes the ability to detect cause and effect relationships, explaining phenomena, inferencing, justifying hypotheses.

  4. Dinosaurs – presentations of prehistoric creatures.

Participants of paleontological classes obtain the certificate of the Young Explorer of Prehistoric Times.

The duration of the program: 45 minutes – 1 hour
